CHARACTER NAME: Ayano Tateyama
AGE: 18
CANON Kagerou Project
CANON POINT Anime Route, Episode 12
HISTORY: Wiki Link! Feel free to ask me to elaborate!

PERSONALITY: Ayano is characterized first and foremost by the trait of immense kindness. Always shown to be a loving, forgiving person, Ayano tries to see the best in people and bring others closer together. In her first meeting with her friend Takane, Ayano makes sure to let her know that despite coming off as rude, Shintaro is actually a good guy, and apologizes profusely on his behalf. Her relationship with the prickly and distant Shintaro works because of her patience and kindness--she’s able to give him a loving, gentle push into friendship that many others were not capable of. Forging a fast friendship with Haruka and Takane, Ayano is able to use her kindness and perky attitude to bring the four of them closer together. She cares deeply about those close to her, and is very serious about the happiness of her friends. Ayano is even willing to be a little strict when it comes to how her friends are behaving, like when she chastises Takane for not being honest about her feelings toward Haruka. If it’s for the good of everyone, she will raise her voice if she has to.

As a child, Ayano was obsessed with pure-hearted heroes as a child, donning a red scarf for most of her life because “red is the color of heroes.” The heroism of those she would see on television or in books inspired her to live like them--always kind, respectful, and brave. When her family adopts three orphaned siblings, she is able to help them and take care of them by inspiring them with the kind of compassion and leadership she always sees in the heroes she admires. It isn’t all positive, though--as this attitude tends to cause her to carry the burden of her pain and sadness behind a smile. When Ayano begins investigating her Father, she keeps the truth of her fear, sadness, and anxiety to herself, save for her brother Kano, whom she had no choice but to let in on the secret. Ayano is the type to silently suffer so as not to worry or impose on others. Her dearest friend Shintaro, and even her other siblings are given no indication of her intention to kill herself in order to keep her Father’s evil plan from coming to fruition. Yes, Ayano’s kind, heroic tendencies lead her to sacrifice herself for the greater good of her friends and family--never sparing a second thought to consider the pain it would cause herself.

Losing her Mother at a young age, Ayano’s Father became very depressed and buried himself in his work and clandestine research, leaving Ayano to take care of her siblings. Thus, Ayano grew up to be a very responsible, almost motherly young woman. She took care of cooking and cleaning, developing a very warm personality that elicited feelings of comfort in those who would spend time with her. Emotionally, she matured rather quickly, tending to be able to keep her emotions cool even when dealing with serious matters like the mystery of her Father’s research. When Haruka stays overnight to work on a project, she offers to cook him a meal--and when her sibling starts playing pranks on him, she scolds the boy just as a Mother would.

When she’s not mothering her siblings or playing hero, Ayano is a fairly normal high-school girl, if not a little extra sweet. She’s been known to be a bit air-headed, tending to space out and lose focus on things that aren’t particularly interesting to her--most notably, school work. It’s her trouble in school and bad grades that lead to her seeking help from Shintaro, and later, Haruka, who both find her inability to complete simple exercises rather astounding. Practically, she’s a smart girl who can get to the bottom of mysteries and help her friends, but when it comes to being book-smart, she has a lot to be desired. Ayano often ends up in extra summer classes. Simplistic in her wants and needs, she only strongly desires to spend time with the people she loves--and this becomes clear when her world starts falling apart as she desperately tries to find ways to keep everyone together. Even if Ayano has to forgo her own happiness, making sure the people important to her have a good life will take priority.

CANON POWERS:
Ayano has the ability of “Favoring Eyes” which, when making eye contact with someone, she is able to project into them feelings, thoughts, or memories. Typically more of a “nudge” than flat-out mind control, she can impart feelings of happiness in someone who is sad, or project a hazy, important memory onto someone else. In Canon, she uses this ability to show another character the story of someone’s past--sending the memories from her mind to someone else’s. It’s kind of like playing a tape in their head, which she can stop at any point. Utilizing this ability causes her eyes to turn red, an effect that she can create at will whether using the favoring eyes or not. However, they will always be red when using the ability.

OTHER: While not being particularly booksmart, Ayano is a bit of a sleuth, and was able to unravel a full-on supernatural conspiracy with just her wits and intuition alone. She's surprisingly perceptive towards the feelings and actions of other people.

MAGIC ABILITY: Impervious! Ayano’s body would be able to take a ludicrous amount of physical damage without her becoming physically impaired or killed. That is to say, the amount of damage that would need to be done to her to break her skin or severely damage her would have to be immense, and even then her body heals rapidly. Luke Cage-esque. This augmentation would be purely physical, and Ayano would still be susceptible to illnesses, loss of oxygen, and various other biological hazards. This also doesn’t affect her level of strength outside of the fact that she can punch people as hard as humanly possible without incurring any damage to her hand...

The limit of damage that Ayano can take, in some instances would roughly be...
6 grave Gunshot Wounds
10 grave Stab Wounds
7 Magical Attacks (intermediate strength)
3 Magical attacks (high strength)
1 Time getting Crushed by Falling Rocks

Each instance will reduce her imperviousness, breaking her skin more, bruising her more, until she's reduced to taking damage like a normal human being. For instance, if she was shot, the first and second would bounce off, the third and fourth would lacerate her but still bounce off, the fifth would penetrate shallowly, and the sixth may penetrate like a normal gunshot wound.

After taking minor damage (cuts, bruises) it takes around half a day for Ayano's impervious to refresh and heal her body completely. For excessive damage damage (mutiple gunshot wounds, broken bones, mutiple deep lacerations, excessive loss of blood) it takes 1-2 weeks for her body to heal completely and for impervious to refresh.

ANY WEAPONS/MAGICAL ITEMS?: Ayano doesn’t have any weapons or magical items! Just a smile!
